Department of General, Endoscopic and Minimally Invasine Surgery, District Hospital Kargil is the main department of District Hospital Kargil,Ladakh which provide 24X7 emergency Service for the people of Ladakh.

Department Of Surgery District Hospital Kargil has been selected and accredited for Pst-Graduate DNB Degree Courses by National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences ( NBEMS) in August 2024.

Apart from 24X7 emergency Surgical care, this department provides Day time OPD service, Surgical ICU and High Dependency Unit Service, Burn Care Service, Surgical Endoscopy Services including UGI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy/Sigmoidoscopy, Cystoscopy, all types of Emergency and elective major and minor Surgeries, Casualty/Emergency ward /Surgical ward care and regular Surgical conferences and CMEs.

Round-the-Clock Availability of Consultant Surgeons at District Hospital Kargil

Consultant Surgeons Dr Sajjad Hussain, Dr Mohd Abbas and Dr Mohd Feroz are available round the clock in the Hospital, as per duty roster.
